Slow down. You're on Vacation.
An hour or two at Float House. Float, sauna, hot-cold contrast, massage. In private rooms, five minutes from BC Place.
Reserve Your SessionVacations are exhausting.
You walked 18,000 steps yesterday. You ate at three different places. You're sleeping in a hotel bed that isn't quite right. By day three of any good trip, something has to give.
Most people push through. They lose a half day to feeling slow and call it part of traveling.
The other option is to spend a couple of hours doing nothing at all. Not at your hotel. Somewhere built for it.
Pick what sounds good.
Float House offers four core experiences. You can book one, or stack two in a single visit. All in private rooms with your own shower.
Float therapy
You lie back in 10 inches of water with 1,000 pounds of Epsom salt dissolved in it. You float effortlessly. The pod is dark, quiet, body temperature. Most people describe it as the deepest rest they've had in years.
Book FloatHot-cold contrast
Infrared sauna and cold plunge, alternated. Heat for 15 minutes, then a brief plunge, repeat. Your nervous system resets. Your legs feel lighter. It's the fastest reset on the menu.
Book Hot-ColdInfrared sauna
A private infrared sauna room. Gentler than a traditional sauna but the sweat is deeper. Good if you just want quiet heat and a quick reset.
Book SaunaRMT massage
Registered massage therapy with experienced therapists. Available alongside the rest of the menu. Direct insurance billing for Canadian residents.
Book MassageThis city does wellness well.
Vancouver has a deep wellness culture. Float studios, contrast spas, infrared saunas, cold plunge clubs. It's part of how the city lives.
Float House has been in Gastown since 2013. Private rooms, no shared facilities, no clinical atmosphere. You feel the calm the moment you open the door.
What a session actually feels like.
Each service is its own kind of experience. Here's the short version of what to expect from each.
Floating
You're shown to your private room. Shower, float pod, towels, earplugs, everything you need. You get in the pod, close the lid (or leave it open, your choice), and the lights fade out. The first few minutes your brain is still racing. Then it slows down. You stop feeling your body. You stop hearing anything. 75 minutes goes by faster than you'd think.
Hot-cold contrast
The opposite kind of experience. Sensory and a little exhilarating. You move between an infrared sauna and a cold plunge, alternating. The heat is deep. The cold makes you yelp the first time. By round three your breathing is slower, your skin is buzzing, and the calm afterwards is what people come back for.
Infrared sauna
Quieter. You sit in a private infrared sauna room with low light and warmth that works deeper than a regular sauna. 40 minutes of slow sweating and slower thinking. People often pair it with a float or a contrast session for a longer visit.
RMT massage
A 60-minute session with a registered massage therapist in a private room. Good for working out the tension that builds up after long flights, long days on your feet, or just life. Direct insurance billing if you're a Canadian resident.
